Gulf Breeze has a long and interesting history where were disasters and diseases, battle casualties and triumph. Gulf Breeze as a city appeared in 1961 but became famous only in 1987 because of some UFO sightings visible by lots of people. There was a first tree farm in the Naval Live Oaks Reservation and nowadays it is a part of the Gulf Islands National Seashore.
